Robert Kinsella founded Kinsella Group, Inc. a boutique M&A Firm representing sellers and acquirers of companies in the MedTech sector to include contract manufacturers of medical devices, medical device and medical product companies. Clients served have included private equity firms, family owned businesses and publicly traded companies from the US, Europe and Asia. Kinsella Group is headquartered in Chicago. Mr. Kinsella is an SEC/FINRA registered Broker/Dealer Representative with Series 62, 63 and 79 licenses.
Kinsella Group began as a turn-around consulting firm representing challenged enterprises largely in the Midwest US and migrated to operating as a generalist Firm focused on acquisition search and sell-side mandates before initiating a move to an exclusive focus in the MedTech sector in 2009.
In the early 2000’s the Firm had offices in Chicago and Shanghai, China representing large Chinese private and state owned enterprises (SOE’s) in pursuit of acquisitions in the US and Europe. Mr. Kinsella traveled frequently to China to support business development efforts there. And has travelled extensively in Europe, the UK and Dubai UAE, in support of client acquisition search mandates.
Business activity prior to founding Kinsella Group included acquisition of 12 companies focused primarily in the printing industry; automotive and truck part manufacturing; and office furniture distribution with products sourced from Taiwan with frequent travel to Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Mr. Kinsella has an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BS in Business from the University of Missouri. He is an Instrument Rated Private Pilot and owns a Cirrus aircraft. He lives in a north shore suburb of Chicago and Naples, Florida.
Mr. Kinsella is a US Navy veteran having served as Supply Officer aboard the destroyer USS Ozbourn (DD-846) during the Vietnam conflict.
He is married, has two children and four grandchildren.
