Jay Schainholz has a diverse educational background, including training in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago and in law from Columbia University. Mr. Schainholz brings to Kinsella extensive experience assisting small to medium-sized businesses and startups to achieve organic growth through effective team building, operational and financial management, and further growth through strategic means of equity fundraising, negotiating relationships, and acquisitions. He transformed his family business from a traditional manufacturer into a leading niche medical device contract manufacturer, establishing strategic relationships with industry leaders like Stryker, Zimmer Biomet, Nuvasive, and Medtronic. The business was sold to private investors in 2016.
More recently, Mr. Schainholz has served as interim CEO at Turbett Surgical, Inc., where he achieved exceptional results. Despite facing complex and existential litigation and regulatory challenges, he helped to triple the company’s revenues in less than two years and the same period, increased its operating profits by multiple orders of magnitude. Turbett Surgical was named a top Medtech Outlook startup of 2023.
