The Importance of In Person
Needless to say, online calls such as Zoom are popular today. But this kind of call does not foster personal chemistry so very important in developing an opportunity for our buy-side clients. A Kinsella Group professional recently made a trip to visit a target who announced that he could allow only 15 minutes for a meeting and really had no interest in hearing what our colleague had to say. After all, the company was not for sale.
The personal chemistry which developed led to an hour-and-a-half visit, a meeting with a co-owner of the business, an executed NDA and a scheduled meeting with our buy-side principals.
We believe firmly in establishing an initial rapport best face to face. This relationship-building is critical to creating a solid opportunity for our clients.
